AllAboutExplorers.com

Mr. Driver
I had never heard of this website before.  It looks really legitimate and was made to look so.  The information in it however, is highly dubious.   Lewis and Clark deemed the Midwest to be great for future automobile production.  Funny stuff, well crafted webpage.  I have done an explorers unit in the past, and I wished I had known about this   We learned the difference between primary and secondary sources, but this would have helped us learn about bogus sources.

Today, as I am teaching older students, I would like to help them learn what is sponsored content and what is not.  There are a lot of advertisements posing as articles out there.   Companies can pay for a high SERP (search engine results page) rating and then you are getting information that is not necessarily open about it's source.  More and more we are inundated with advertising that we can't even recognize.  Let's show our students some examples of misleading information.
