DC Digital Literacy: Share Resource

Amanda Viggers
I explored and signed up to create a class for my students/parents on Remind. It is a great tool that you can use to help send out reminders to everyone in your class. I often forget to send a letter home, so this would be a lifesaver. Plus, not all parents are checking the take home folders, but will most likely be checking their phone. You can either send invitations to parents after you have their numbers or they can text a certain number with your class code to join. I'm excited to try this one out.

I would love to do that with my chorus students! I think it would be a great way to remind students and parents of concerts, extra rehearsals, etc. It's so difficult to get a note home and in a parent's hand these days for some reason. Thanks for the neat idea!

I like the idea of using Remind to keep parents up to date and connected to what is going on in the classroom. It would be a good way for me to communicate on a frequent basis about many different things happening throughout the week without taking a lot of the parents' time. I may try to use this somehow as well.

I love this idea.  Thanks for sharing as I know being a parent myself that often I forget something key such as sharing day or special event at school.  This would give another avenue for teachers and parents to keep the lines of communication open.
