DC Digital Literacy - Share Resource

Kara May
Communication - REMIND - This would be a great tool for students and teacher.  No phone numbers and it's instant communication.  Parents can also be included.  I think there are a number of ways this could be incorporated in the classroom.

Collaboration - PREZI - I love using Prezi for presentations or workshops.  It's more interactive and engaging than Power point.  Students seem to like it as well.  The graphics are great.  I would caution anyone not get carried away - some students say it can be a little much if you over do the graphics.

Critical Thinking - MIND42 - I use mind maps a lot when helping students with study skills.  I haven't used an online site but I am going to play around with this one to see if it will fit my needs.

Organization - PINTEREST - I am working on my master's in counseling and ran across some great ideas on Pinterest.  I think I will create a board specifically for counseling now.
