DC Digital Literacy

Julie
Communication – I have used Skype to communicate with a student receiving home bound education because of health issues. The student was able to interact with peers in real time.

Collaboration -  I use Google Drive to collaborate with teachers in as well as out of my district.

Creativity – I have used MineCraft as a reward for a student (on the autism spectrum) needing a reward for finishing tasks as well as an outlet for his creative side.

Critical Thinking – I am planning on using “Create a Graph” with my students this next school year. All of my students are on alternate assessment and one skill they have difficulty master is creating graphs.

Organization – Because our school has one-to-one devices for MS & HS, my student use Google Drive to organize their assignments.
