DC Internet Safety: Be Logical and Smart

Eric Thompson
If what you are about to post, whether it is a photo or a comment, be logical and smart.  A very good question to ask yourself is: "would my mother or father be honored and proud of what I am about to post?" If you hedge on the answer, be logical and smart & do not post it.  I have accounts on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Periscope and Vimeo and they are all set to the maximum settings.  I do not want anyone to have access to me, or my business (personal or professional) unless I wish for them to.  My language setting is at maximum, for those platforms that provide this option, and my identity on all platforms is locked.  Unless you request to either follow or become friends, you cannot see anything.

I do not post anything: inflammatory, disrespectful or slanderous on any one of these platforms and I am committed to educational and/or inspirational posts.

"Would my father or mother be honored?", is a good thing to think about in lots of areas of our lives.
