I explored my twitter account. My account is currently open to the public, but I was intrigued to find that I could set options for my birthday and year. I changed that to allow month/day for if we follow each other and year for me only. I was happy to see that I could request an archive of my twitter account of everything I have ever tweeted. This goes to reinforce that after it's posted, it's around forever, even if you delete it. In the end, there are lots of options for account security/preferences, but it will take some time to get your account locked down the way you want.
