DC Internet Safety

Tara Brooks
I have a Facebook, Google+, and Instagram account.  I really found this activity and video helpful, because I had not reviewed my privacy settings in a while.  My Instagram account wasn't set to private at all!  Thank goodness I don't post very often.  It is private now.  Instagram is fairly simple to make private.  It only takes one swipe to turn your account private in the options menu.  Now the only challenge is to make sure your students don't follow and accept requests from people they don't know.  I have said the same think the lady in the video said.  "You don't need 1,000 friends (or followers)".

Facebook has actually changed their privacy settings since I checked them last.  They are a little bit easier to understand now.  There is now a privacy shortcut option, and in settings there is a list of questions to make setting your privacy options easier.
