DC Internet Safety

Emily Parakkal
I explored Facebook. Users need to be aware of the audience of each post (public, friends, acquaintances, etc). They need to be aware of when others tag them, that this information is shared with people they don't know.

We can set additional safety features such as notifications (when people try to access the account) and login approvals (that require extra information to log in). I have also chosen to review friends' posts before they are included on my timeline, if they tag my name. This way if they try to put something on my timeline that I don't want there, I can delete it before anyone sees it.

There are a lot of helpful safety features when you take the time to review the settings.
