I use Facebook and Instagram for my personal life. I looked at my Facebook page, which was set to 'Friends Only'. I have my Instagram account sent to 'approve requests'.
I use my Twitter and Snapchat accounts professionally. I have both of those accounts open to the public.
I think it is important for students to create accounts that project their accomplishments and abilities. It obviously is important to know those that you are 'friends' with.
