DC Intro: Norms and responsibilities

Deb Kubitz
This is such new territory to so many and yet such the norm for many more. My 5 year old grandson has a question and he just goes and asks Siri. Now Siri may at some times have a hard time understanding a 5 year old but he generally can get the answer he is seeking. These are the norms for the world of children and the unknown or at least more cautious territory for the older generation. I am somewhere in between the two. I love technology and think it is amazing however I feel there is an immense responsibility and consequence that goes with it. Students need to realize that you cannot say something that you would not say face to face and you can not take it back once it is said. People still have a right to privacy and information needs to be valid and accurate.
