We often talk of the importance of Digital Citizenship for our kids in schools, and this is a very viable and effective topic that we need to discuss. But I feel that we need to impart some wisdom on the parents and guardians of our kids to help us educate students about the proper and effective use of on-line tools both at school and at home. Part of our issue with the misuse of technology tools is the lack of expectation for students with their use of technology at home. There is no instruction about right and wrong on the various technology platforms from home so kids think they can do whatever they want at school and this is not apppropriate.
