Digital Citizenship Digital Literacy: Share Resource

Michael Dankert
My district uses the google suite heavily.  I have used the Calendar app to teach kids how to schedule time with me, since I'm only on site two hours per day.  My face to face time with the students is valuable, and they need to understand how to plan their time wisely.

Our district also uses the Google resources heavily. Each student has a district email account by 5th grade if not sooner. They use it to communicate with teachers when they are gone to receive homework. We use Google Classroom to share information with the teacher such as reading logs and summaries. We use Google docs to do group work and share the results with the students in their group and with the teacher. Teachers also use this document to schedule things with other teachers and to share activities. I would not be able to survive and function if I did not have a Google calendar. It has saved me more than once.
