Exploring Resources

Elizabeth Sanning
Google Drive is the collaboration tool I’ll use with my students.  First of all, it is what we are using as a district.  But more than that I think it offers a very easy way for students to work together collaboratively and for me to monitor and advise.    Currently, my science research teams have a common document where they write a status update each day of their project and then after class I read them and give them comments and answer any questions they may have.  I looked at several tools for creativity but I really didn’t seen anything that I would honestly use with my science students except for Prezi because I do expect students to make presentations.  I found mindmap42- graphic organizer a good tool for students to aid in making connections among topic (critical thinking).  Finally, while I looked at several of the tools for organization, Google Drive seems most applicable to my students’ needs.
