Facebook Privacy Settings

Melissa Daniels
Facebook has most of its settings set as a default to public. You actually have to go in and manually set the settings to "friends only". This especially applies to profile pictures. The one on display automatically sets to public, and if you ever upload a new profile picture, the old one continues to stay public. You could, without thinking, have years of profile pictures available for display by anyone who wants to browse.

So basically, users should check to see what options default to public and adjust them as necessary.
