Facebook for personal, charity and professional use

Courtney Long
I have used Facebook since 2007.  I started out using it just for personal social media, but I have expanded over the years.  I am a volunteer for the Humane Society and a friend and I  started the Boone Area humane society page and I started writing Joe's journal - (which extended to a blogger page, which I will talk about in the google + section).  https://www.facebook.com/BAHSIA/?ref=bookmarks

I have also started two spin off facebook pages of my own:  Adventures of Oliver and Murray (which also has a blogger site and a wordpress site).  https://www.facebook.com/adventuresofOliverandMurray/  and Nova's Newsworthy Novels, the premise of which is:  A cat talking about and reviewing the "cat cozy mystery" genre.  https://www.facebook.com/novasnn1/  (nova, also has an instagram account that ties into this fb page) novasnewsworthynovels.

I also use FB to connect with the people I supervise through our homeschool FB page, (https://www.facebook.com/groups/189473877744390/) and posts on their page and messaging them.

I LOVE Facebook and will continue to use and learn more about possible uses in the years to come.

There are some really good ideas here by Courtney Long. I can see many ways to connect employers to our high school seniors with the Facebook work horse!
