Finances for all ages

Michelle fornoff
I believe that fianiacial literacy is important for all ages.  In today's world of credit and technology, I believe that is very important that we start early teaching our children how to account for the money they spend.  Without the basic knowledge of how money works, children can not understand a basic function in society.  As life long learners, our students must understand all the basic principals of our economy.  If working with young students, then the basic concepts of money and value would be the core concepts in a lesson plan.  When working with older students, the concepts of credit and expenses would be invaluable.

You are on target. Human history in America shows that a majority of problems that people have can be directly related to their inability to understand and implement sound financial decisions. Too often we fail to educate our children about the monetary concepts that we have to live by. Financial literacy taught at every grade level is needed to allow our children to be educated in this area. This is an ever evolving area that will change and keep changing well into the future.
