Financial Literacy in MS Social Studies

Financial literacy can be taught in many aspects of MS social studies. In our US History class it could be incorporated when discussing the need for banks. In my current global issues class we discuss poverty and world hunger. Students could learn about goal setting and making a financial plan for themselves so as to avoid or make the possibility of poverty less likely for themselves in the future.
