Financial Literacy in the Classroom

Jill Viles
I serve as a substitute teacher for high school students in my community.  At times, i substitute in a mathematics classroom and a person finance course is offered.  I feel that the information I am gaining as part of this continuing education will allow me to lead discussions and assist with daily work on topics such as interest rates, credit cards, home mortgages, and student loans.  I feel this material will also be useful in other classrooms in which I sub, as in social studies, for example.
