I want to be better able to teach the value of a high school diploma especially from the angle of the dollars involved and the difference between a lifetime of work with a diploma and without a diploma. Also I want to extend this into post secondary education also. This will give me more ammunition to use with my alternative high school students to underscore the importance of coming to school today in order to prepare for tomorrow. I am also hoping that this class gets into opportunity cost and gives me more ways to teach this also. I see quite a bit of waste of capital within my student population. We do offer a class in personal finance but new resources can do nothing but help.
