The message I got from all three papers was to add art to my every day classroom teachings. I have two younger children and I see the way they each use art to communicate their own words. Being a fifth grade teacher, I know I can incorporate art more into my curriculum than I have. Paper two really spoke to me as it talked about teacher confidence levels with art. I am HORRIBLE~! I do give it my best go, but I can see why I may not use art as much as I could be. This year, I have a goal to use more sketchnoting with my classroom. I think many people believe art is an added luxury, one that could be taken away for more academic demands, but these articles really went to show that art does link with higher scores.
