Gmail chat and quick links

Barry Bower
As a teacher and administrator in education, communication has always been a key role in success.  Communication is one of the 21st century learning skills needed in our world today.  Teaching our students, our future leaders, to have effective communication skills is essential.  Leading by example is imperative and communication is key.  Teachers and students collaborate more efficiently inside and outside the classroom through Gmail.  I love the ideas of having ones Gmail page centralized to boost productivity!  Chat links on one side of the Gmail page and quick links on the other to add current events or important topics to tie into lessons for the day.

I too use Gmail as my communication tool to the families, staff, and community to let them know the most current information from the desk of the principal.  I am new to the community and rely heavily on the experience of our school administrative assistant to edit and review my communication before it goes ''public."  The convenience of the 'share button' has been the most useful tool in 'docs,' I have come to appreciate and depend upon, another set of eyes, always makes life more accurate.
