I think it would be a great learning tool to have a group of students do the "traveling story" game to learn Gmail basics. The teacher could start a story with one or two lines, then forward it to the first student on the seating chart, who would then add a line or two, and then forward to the next person behind them. This would teach them to recognize when they have new mail, how to add information to an email chain, and how to forward it on to a new recipient.
