Gmail for reteaching and retesting planning

Jacky Ceurvorst
I use gmail with my students when they have requested to retest a concept. Students fill out a google form to request to retest. The form kicks an automated email to me to alert me of a new request.  Once the request deadline arrives, I group students based on their needs (as requested in their google form) and respond to students in a group email with suggestions for a study plan, reteaching appointments, and retest date.  Students continue the thread with their personalized study plan and coordination between themselves to work together to re-study the concepts. This puts a lot more of the responsibility for re-learning and coordinating dates on the students, allowing me more time to actually meet with them and prepare additional materials for their individual needs.
