I use gmail for emailing parents, coworkers, coaches, players, and sales reps to name a few. Since I am a teacher and coach I have many different topics/emails that come in during the day. I have set up a folder system that is color coded and some of the folders have sub folders so I can put things by year in the folders.
I also use the chat feature with a couple coworkers that I talk to on a regular basis, either school or coaching responsibility related. It is easier to have the chat option since most of those conversations are back and forth, short, and an email thread isn’t necessary.
My students are 5 and 6 years old so I do not use gmail with them. Our district doesn’t give out email addresses until they are in 3rd grade.
