Gmail in the Classroom

 I love the idea of using gmail as pen pals in kindergarten. The idea of pen pals supports students learning of using writing for communicating. Seeing that communication happen via email will allow the classroom to connect with learners from all over the world so quickly! Also, physically writing can be so cumbersome for many kindergarteners. Drafting and typing an email as a class will allow them to learn about the function of writing without the frustration of it. I'm so excited to give this a try!
