Gmail in the Classroom

Kate R.
As a paraeducator and substitute teacher, I do not have my own classroom. However, I can see that there are so many wonderful gmail features that are very useful both in the classroom and as a general user. In particular, I really like the labels and filters features. I have labeled my emails now in different categories and colors (school, substitute, coach, parent, family, church, sports, etc). It is great how organized it all is now. As a sub and para, using gmail is a perfect way to communicate with teachers and have documentation of that information. They can receive and read the information right away. It's easy to cc and forward on messages, as well, to other building staff and administration.
