Gmail in the Classroom

Steve Rucker
As a substitute teacher, I use Gmail for the following activities:
1)  I look up the teacher's email on the district site and email my substitute notes to them as soon as possible by the end of the day.  That way they can get started on their planning as soon as possible and can also contact me using my email or the contact information with any questions.  hen appropriate I will also copy he principal's secretary.
2)  When appropriate for that school I will also email class attendance for each period to the attendance secretary or principal's secretary.
3)  If my assignment is scheduled in advance I will contact the teacher I am substituting for to give them the option of communicating any information to me in advance.
4)  I have also communicated links to students when it was not practical to share the information within Google.
