I have been using gmail for awhile for personal use and contact with parents from my classroom but hadn't really thought about putting it to use with my students before. I have always used it to keep parents connected to our classroom, like giving upcoming important dates or what we are currently working on in class. I really liked the idea of using gmail for pen pals and connecting with classrooms around the country.
