I currently teach Kindergarten. We use gmail district wide to communicate with colleagues and administration. I also use gmail to communicate with parents past and current on a daily basis. I send out my weekly newsletter, as well as answer frequently asked questions on a daily basis. With colleagues we communicate over professional development, daily announcements, and or reminders.
I love using the grouping feature in google mail. This allows me to just send an email to kindergarten colleagues and or just teachers in our own building. I also use the label feature to help organize all of my gmail folders.
