Gmail in the classroom

Angela Fowler
I could see students practicing their typing skills and reflecting on their learning by composing weekly emails to their parents about the highlights and goals for the week.

Students could also use gmail to communicate with projects between classrooms.  For example, two students could be collaborating on a topic, and use email as a way to communicate who will be responsible for what.

Additionally, I could see using gmail as a way to share my calendar with staff.  It would also be useful to use the filters and labels to help staff become more productive with their email.  High priority labels require daily attention, where others without labels may go a day or two.
