Gmail in the classroom

Betsy Nelson
As a kindergarten teacher, I don't use gmail with my students, but I find it a very valuable tool in communicating with parents and colleagues.  There are so many settings in gmail that I was unfamiliar with.  I have now created many different labels to archive my emails.  This has cleared out my inbox, and has allowed me to better access emails according to the sender or the subject. I have also created a group that is just my students parents in order to send quick updates and reminders about papers due and upcoming events.
