I have created group lists for all the parents of my students so each week I can send out a short update of what we've done in the classroom and any upcoming events. It helps keep the parents informed and generates conversation topics for middle school students who have decided talking to their parents isn't cool anymore. I also created labels to keep all parent communication in one place so I have a record of what I've sent and received should any issues come up.
