Google Apps 101

Adrianne Sheybani
THANK YOU!
There were so many little tricks in here I knew existed but I had never ventured out to master myself.

Our school switched to Gmail this year and I have not really organized much there.  I have way too many things hanging around.  The archive and label features will help me a lot. I also appreciated learning how to add a signature.  You also taught me how to create contact groups.  I will be able to email my whole department much easier now instead of having to add them individually.

I liked using gmail to contact students through Google classroom during our distance learning this spring.
It was easy to access their emails if I looked at "people" in our classroom.

Creating Google Slides to use if we need to stay in some sort of distance learning will be very helpful.  I like how easy it is to insert YouTube videos directly into the slides, and how they are sizable.

As much as I resisted Google Docs over the years, they are growing on me.  I love the share feature.  I can envision being able to share documents with students and then leave comments for them to read and possibily make changes.  It really makes those documents living documents.  This will be yet another enhancement if we need to stay in distance learning - a way to have individual conversations with students even though we need to be apart.
