Google Arts and Culture

Valerie Flanagan
As an artist/ Art educator, I know the "Google Arts and Culture" site to be a spectacular resource. A virtual experience, with endless possibilities, ranging to exploration of over 1,000 museums, and categories by artist, period, movement, medium... etc. Superb resolution with 360 degree view options for collections. An app. of great fun many be familiar with through Facebook, is the 'Find my Doppelganger', which uses facial recognition to align one's photo submitted, to its twin/ match to a painting ranging from modern to "beginning of time" (ha- throughout herstory/history), that very closely resembles.

Google Arts and Culture...great resource...I think this could be used in a foreign language class to supplement the cultural component that is not always easy to give students, especially since rural areas have limits of cultural variety.
