Google Docs in the classroom.

Ralph Hughes
I really like the ease of using Google Docs for my BSAT Committee notes and the ability to share our notes with the staff throughout our building.  I don't have to email notes to the other committee members and my principal has easy access to the notes from each meeting.  So this makes me fairly comfortable using this with my students in my classroom especially for writing daily journals.  My students thoroughly enjoy using the computer and a couple have Google accounts so this will make the process easier as a pilot to see how this works with my students.

Another avenue that I could use Google Docs in my classroom is with partner research projects for Science or Government.  I believe that the students would work well with this project and it will build better student relationships through it's use on these type of projects.

I could also use it in developing job search portfolios, career plans, and sharing ideas with our guidance department for my students who are seeking current employment along with planning college and careers.  The use of Google Docs is endless and will be effective as students become more comfortable with sharing ideas and documents.
