Google Gmail in the Classroom

Heather Mauer
I use Google Gmail for parent and student communication. I send important notes, respond to any parent questions or concerns that come my way. Sometimes I share action pictures taken in the classroom with parents. I also use Google Gmail for creating folders to separate lesson plan ideas, photos and any saved images that will improve student learning in the classroom or enhance an art lesson. I also use Gmail to keep files of quick assessment photos of the students as they work in art class. This helps so much to see pictures and write observations for formative assessment. The folders are a great way to stay organized and find what I need faster.
