In the past I usually used gmail for communicating with other staff. Recently I began using it to communicate with parents. With the current pandemic I am using it alot more to communicate with students. We are most likely going to switch to hybrid learning, and Gmail and all of the other features will be indispensable for communicating with students, parents, and staff.
There are so many features that I haven't used yet, but I'm sure as we progress though winter I will find uses for them. The fact that Gmail and Google Classroom work so well together is a great bonus.
