Years back, when I initiated book clubs for students, I wanted to include students who struggled in reading, but loved a ‘good’ story. I would provide an audio copy of the selected book for that club to students who needed it. There were times when I did not own enough audio copies. I would ‘burn’ a copy for that student in need to use. How did that make others feed? My Teacher Librarian said, “No, no.” Another option: Find/buy another legitimate copy or as I did, check out the audio version thru public library if possible and let students use that.
