Inappropriate Use Digital Media

I have been the recipient of an inappropriate use of digital media - a Tweet.
Students in one of my classes were plagiarizing material and were caught.  One of the students chose to tweet about it.  It was not a good feeling having students complain about your teaching online when the other side of the story was not a part of their message.  Instead of the student posting something online, they should have just written it on a piece of paper and torn the paper up and thrown it away.  Students need to remember that even though the tweet can be deleted and removed - it still exists!
