I do believe there is a fine line that must be walked when it comes to the use of digital media. Again, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Here are a couple serious issues.
I know of several inappropriate usages of digital media. At many schools, there have been students that have engaged in "sexting" and then had those photos travel the whole school. This was awful, illegal, and very damaging to people involved. I know of incidents of cyber bullying that causes so much pain to the person on the receiving end.
What could have been done differently? Self-worth needs to be taught, as well as what the ramifications are for these types of offenses.
