I try very hard as an instructor to set a standard in my classes about what is considered appropriate. I also try very had in my online profile as well. My students are not allowed to have access to my Facebook page by friend-ing me because I have personal friends who do not always hold themselves up to the high standards I do. I do not want a student seeing something inappropriate that a friend might have posted. I also do not want to post something that a parent or another adult would see that would put a negative light on myself or my district.
