The use of Facebook, Twitter, etc by people to bully or embarrass others is a serious problem in our community. Spreading gossip or making cruel remarks about another person by hiding behind fictitious usernames is cruel and demeaning. The lack of digital citizenship/compassion/empathy is a huge problem in our society. It needs to start at home with families discussing it and with schools enforcing appropriate behaviors.
