Inappropriate use digital media

I love my cell phone but they need to be put away at certain times such as mealtime. My son was home and we both had our phones by us and either texting or checking them. I finally said lets put the phones away and just talk to each other.

This is a great idea and I wish more families would do this.  I think parents can learn a lot about their child and how their day or week is going if they just talked to them.
