Internet Safety

Dane Moulton
I find it a little scary how kids seek the attention, in the form of hits, likes or comments, so much that they ignore privacy settings so everyone can view their information.  This can leave them vulnerable to anyone who looks them up, which is something that they need to be taught.  I hesitated to join any social network, but have been on facebook for a little over a year.  I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I find it a little unnerving how easily fb can search your contacts and email to suggest friends and suggest you to friends, and I think it is very important that kids understand that they should always keep their own security in mind above the number of friends and/or likes they can collect.
