Like many others responding here, I checked settings on our (husband and my) Facebook account. I quickly reset the settings listing "everyone" able to get email and phone number to "friends." I'm not sure how the account got set that way. It is scary how much info you can find out through someone and their account if you do a little digging. Through the district, we are told not to accept students or parents as "friends." I really wouldn't want them knowing about my private life anyway. I am shocked at how many kids (I teach 4th grade.) have a Facebook account when they are underage.
