Internet safety

Kristin Tack

I mostly use Facebook and have recently locked down my privacy settings even more. I had not previously realized that if I posted on a Public post, my comment was also public. I don't participate in questionable online behavior but I felt exposed to know that was happening. I have also turned off the options of having my searches be used in ad content both on Facebook and Pinterest. It could be nice to get extra exposure to things you are searching for (good Pins showed up when I started Googling ideas for a home decor re-do), but it is better to keep your tracks covered. To some it might be paranoia, but it is astounding how someone could trace you if they just followed your social media accounts for awhile.
