What was new learning for me?
Many of these terms were things I have heard of but until I actually read carefully (and with the help of the photos) I realized I really didn't know what they meant. The simple definitions of Element and Principle were new to me. I never knew there were so many terms and how they work within the art world.
What was a review?
The section talking about color was a review for me.
How can I apply these concepts to my teaching?
I teach science and I think it would be fun to have students participate in a Lab designed on mixing colors. Making sure to focus on primary - secondary - tertiary colors.
