Nearpod

Holly Gilmore
My principal has purchased Nearpod for my team. It's a fun and engaging site that can be used on any device. I can use pre made lessons to teach my students specific skills in any subject area that are already aligned to standards. Once you save a Nearpod, you can edit it to make it fit your needs. There are many free Nearpods and there are some you can buy. I have created a few on my own to meet my classroom needs. I can link it through Google Classroom which makes it easy for my students to access. They can do it live with you or independently at their own pace. You can upload your own files into Nearpod. Kids can complete fill in the blanks, quizzes, polls and even watch videos you uploaded into Nearpod. Teachers can view reports as a class or you can see how kids do individually to access their understanding.

Re: Nearpod

Nearpod is a resource I'd like to try with students when discussing their digital life/ digit footprint. It looks great and uses commonsense media/education slides, assignments and a quick quiz to assess student's learning. https://nearpod.com/s/digital-citizenship/6th-grade/digital-life-101-lite-L31463015.
Thanks for the resource that can be linked or uploaded into Google drive/classrooms!

Nearpod sounds like a very useful resource.  I wonder what the cost is for a district.  The pre-made lessons would be nice for teachers.  Linking it through the Google classroom will also be an advantage.
