In the world that we live in right now, technology is exploding in our schools. I think some schools are pushing the use of technology without looking at some of the consequences. The use of Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, etc. has some definite advantages for today's student, but it can also cause problems (not all students have the same access to the same tools of technology, cyber bullying, etc.) for a small number of children. I believe it is probably a local issue (school district), but I also think the State of Iowa needs to monitor what is happening in our school districts and give some type of direction/guidance.
