I feel that the digital world is an amazing place to gather information at a moments notice. But with that immediate knowledge comes the responsibility of knowing what is accurate and appropriate. We have the right to be curious about the world but we as adults need to help teach the youth on how to find the knowledge in respectful, efficient, and responsible ways. I think it is really important to have courses in our schools on how to navigate the digital world. I wish our schools had a course thats sole purpose was to teach digital citizenship. The scary thing is that kids know more about how to find things on the internet than most adults. But kids sometimes don't understand that the information they gather can drastically differ depending on the words they use.
